Green architecture and its influence on the habitat

The rapid development of technology has caused an increase in energy usage, and the intense traffic in cities has made the quality of air a lot worse because of exhaust fumes emission. In response to the needs of the environment a new kind of architecture has emerged – ecological or sustainable architecture, meaning the buildings are integrated with nature.

Ecological architecture puts the natural environment on the pedestal. That’s the most important aspect of designing process. Sustainable city development has to establish that designing eco friendly solutions through appropriate exploitation, frugal management of natural resources and construction work using materials that aren’t too harsh on the ecosphere.

Ecological architecture reduces the level of warmth emitted into the atmosphere and decreases the costs of exploitation. Usually it uses the renewable resources to protect natural environment and improve the ecological consciousness of citizens. Green architecture is becoming more and more popular because of the aesthetic aspect – greenery composed into the traditional construction schemes isn’t only great for the environment, it’s also very pleasing to the eye. The ideal of ecological architecture is to blur the line between nature and city, return to simple resources and maximum savings of energy.
