EXPO 2029 ŁÓDŹ POLSKA

Years of peace and democracy have allowed Poles to spread their wings. Nobody can deny today that creativity and entrepreneurship have become our trademarks. Our young scientists have achieved many successes across Europe and the entire world thanks to their technological solutions, which received numerous awards in the most prestigious international competitions, while graduates of Polish universities and technical schools become highly sought-after professionals in many fields.

The open mind and courage of action are inherent Polish traits, allowing us to seek unconventional solutions practically in every area of human activity, from science to culture and business.

Start-ups set up by Polish entrepreneurs are characterised by a very high level of innovation, and as many as 14% of them register new patents. It’s worth noting that Poland ranked 25th in the 2016 edition of the ease of doing business index created by the World Bank, even though as recently as in 2009 it placed 76th.

Furthermore, Poles are becoming more and more willing to take part in initiatives aimed at transforming their immediate social environment, such as public consultations or participatory budgeting. All of this shows how the self-awareness of our citizens is increasing and how badly we want to a part of what is going on around us, rather than passively observe reality.

The Polish society definitely has great intellectual and technological potential, and we’re getting better at harnessing it. Poland is changing, and the people are the driving force behind the change – people full of enthusiasm for action, creative and enterprising.
