EXPO 2029 ŁÓDŹ POLSKA

Where’s THE place?

International Association of the Horticultural Producers and the Bureau of International Expositions require that the territory where the Green EXPO A1 type will take place has to have minimum 50 hectares. It’s absolutely necessary to gain the rights to organize the event. Fortunately, Łódź could provide a space that’s over 75 hectares! It’s a huge potential for greenery.

The area of EXPO is going to be spread between a few streets: Pomorska, Kopcińskiego, Konstytucyjna, Małachowskiego and Niciarniana. It will include 2 parks: 3 Maja and Baden-Powell along with Zieleniec on Konstytucyjna.

EXPO 2029 will be happening on the grounds of the Baden-Powell Park – Chief Scout of the World. It has received the name of the patron in 2007. Earlier it was known to people of Łódź as Park Rozrywkowy, popular thanks to cycle village and amphitheatre. The park itself is a proof of how greenery can change the area – before it was established, the place was literally a dumpster.

The space for EXPO has good connections to public transport. It’s close to Łódź Fabryczna station and main trails of city’s traffic. It’s important to the convenience and safety of the guests.

The goal of EXPO is to revitalize the area so it can be fully used by the citizens with regards to the local nature. Better functionality of the green areas will encourage citizens to spend their free time outside and will bring new life to this part of the city. It’ll be the heart of EXPO, radiating on the rest of the city. After Horticultural EXPO 2029 comes to an end, the area of the exposition will turn into a public park and a part of new business centre, 1,5 km away from Łódź Fabryczna railway station.
