Anti-smog pavement – green innovation

Anti-smog pavement – green innovation

During the winter, you can clearly see smog hovering above the city, or a mixture of smoke, exhaust gases and other harmful substances. The combination of smog with shorter days, small about of sunlight and variable weather leads to poor psychical and mental state. Climate awareness is growing. More and more measures to combat smog are being taken. One of the innovations is anti-smog concrete.

City in harmony with the environment

One of ecological alternatives for cities is an anti-smog pavement. The enigmatic anti-smog concrete is a technology using sunlight to convert hazardous substances (e.g. nitrogen dioxide) into harmless chemicals. Such a pavement looks normal at first glance. Its durability and useful life are similar to those of ordinary pavements.

Ecological pavements were introduced in Polish cities, including in Warsaw, where it was proven that the level of nitrogen dioxide was reduced by 30% (compared to the usual pavement). It is difficult to reduce problems that have accumulated over years. The green pavement is a good alternative, worth investing in, to change cities into a pleasant and safe space.
