Organic milk – you can easily make it yourself!

Organic milk – you can easily make it yourself!

Milk is a product consumed from the beginning, and the common belief is that drinking it will make you grow healthy and strong. Unfortunately, we hear more and more often about lactose intolerance and food allergies that can occur at different times of life. Another negative side of milk is its mass production, which exposes animals to unnecessary stress, pollution in the pasture area, and thus - poor quality of the final product.

Organic milk

Currently, when the interest in nature and its protection is growing, the demand for the so-called organic (or bio/eco) products is increasing too. More and more people want to be aware of what they eat, from what ingredients and under what conditions a given product is made. Among other things, this is the reason for the demand for organic farmers and organic milk. Cows on an organic farm must be fed with appropriate feed, produced by the farmer or produced in bulk, which has the appropriate quality certificates. Animals must have a specific space per cow, and all this is controlled by the relevant services. Because of all this, organic milk is more expensive than regular milk, but ... there is an alternative to it.

Milk prepared at home

Vegetable milk is constantly gaining popularity and is easily available; you can find it in every supermarket. However, we encourage you to try to make such milk in your own kitchen! It is worth involving loved ones, children will definitely be satisfied with the experiment. You can make the simplest version using porridge oats. Grind the oats (about 200 g) in a blender, pour about 1.5 litres of hot water and let stand for a minimum of 30 minutes. The next step is to pour this mixture through a thick sieve and that’s it! The milk is ready. Similarly, you can create rice and almond milk. If you prefer sweeter versions, you can add dates or honey.
